Prism Table Quiz
On February 12th, Break for the Border will play host to the first Prism Table Quiz. Our host for the evening is the multi-talented ( Ed:not to mention ultra-foxy) Ireland & UK television presenter and producer Anna Nolan.
You can earn 2 bonus points by pre-registering your team name. This will make our job easier on the night and get you 2 points closer to winning the top prize.

Breaking down LGBT barriers in sports
Gary Lynch and Ciarán Fagan chat to SpunOut.ie about their involvement with LGBT-friendly sports clubs on Ireland's Youth website SpunOut.ie. Our own Emerald Warriors and Dublin Devils are featured.
The launch of Prism Sport Ireland
Last weekend LGBT sports players and supporters turned out in force for the launch of Prism Sports Ireland, a recently established national association representing LGBT sports and recreational organisations in Ireland. Including over 500 members from 7 sports clubs, featuring men’s and women’s sports, covering rugby, squash, football, water sports and hockey, Prism Sports Ireland is by no means a small endeavour, and this was certainly seen last weekend.
Pink Ladies Autumn Update
The Pink Ladies have returned victorious from the London Pink Hockey Fest 2014 sporting silver and bronze medals. The tournament held in Honor Oak Park, London between July 23rd - 27th 2014 was the largest in the tournament's history - a testment to the preparation works of the organisers the London Royals. Six woman's teams and Eight men's team played hard during the day on the pitch and in the evening in the bar with the broken teams relaxing into a last day cruise down the Thames with a sun-setting backdrop. The season is now sadly over until March 2015 with only our end of season weekend at the end of October to look forward too. In4Squash Autumn Update
Beginners and intermediate level coaching with an Irish Squash coach kicks off in October 2014 in the RTE Sport and Social Club in the run up to our International Tournament on 15 November. 17 players will travel to Ireland to compete against 20 of our local players at Westwood, Leopardstown.
In December, In4Squash Ireland players will be heading over to Cologne to play in the 2014 Gay Squash Christmas Tournament. Back at home, regular squash meetups are continuing to take place on Fridays and Sundays in the UCD Sports Centre and anyone interested in coming along is very welcome to join in. Emerald Warriors at the Bingham Cup in Sydney
The Warriors have teamed up with the New England Valkyries and are in Pool F in the opening matches of this year's Bingham Cup. The 3 scheduled pool matches are: Emerald Valkyries v Hustler Australian Ba Bas kicks off at 5 past midnight tonight with a second match against Melbourne Chargers B at 4:40am tomorrow morning. The 3rd pool match is at 1:40 am on Saturday against the Ottawa Wolves.

Wet and Wild Celebrate 5th birthday 23 August
Wet and Wild is five years old! Time to get together and celebrate the new adventure sports we have tried, the beautiful parts of the country that we have visited and of course all the friendships we have made along the way.
To celebrate we are having FIVE events in Dublin and and one big party in the city to top the day off!
Devils and Warriors go Wilde
Just a quick update on a big day coming up for the Devils and Warriors. The Oscar Wilde cup will be taking place on the 9th of August. This usually annual match between the Dublin Devils and Emerald Warriors will take place in the Phoenix Park at 2pm. The sport we play alternate with each new event and this year we will be playing soccer.
The after party for the Oscar Wilde cup this year will coincide with the Warriors hosting of the Bingham Bash in the George. This is essentially a farewell party for the players heading over to the Bingham Cup in Sydney. This will kick off at 8pm.
